I must do that post! I'm sorry if I still don't post anything but this post is a MUST! (and tomorrow will be the same, no graphics post since I want to make a beautiful meme I saw from
nicolemissing ,
faithforgiven and
misscla ).
Ok two days ago I saw Dorian Gray so I'm gonna post here my opinion aboutBen-being-naked the movie. It might be spoiler, I don't know how much! But there is a reward for you under the cut! (I want the caps from the movieeee!!! I just need them!!! Ben had sex all the time! lol!)

First of all I want to thank London because Ben is everywhere! I like that! But I'm a little upset (and sat too) because the movie didn't have a premiere....So no real Ben in town. I was dreaming about that! And now my dream is broken ç____ç
Now let's talk about the movie! I apologize for my english, it'd be better if I wrote in italian, but I want to write in english!
I want to start saying that Dorian Gray is my favourite book ever. I love it, I love how Oscar Wilde wrote and I've read it like 3 o 4 times! And of course I love Ben. I was very happy when I heard Ben would have been Dorian. I know it can be a contradiction: I like the book and Ben, and we all know that he's not physically like Dorian. But, to be honest, I didn't mind, and after seing the movie I felt the same! Ben is a good actor and was a perfect Dorian.
Yes I said he was perfect, I don't know how to explain, but this role was just for him! I can't imagine another actor.
Maybe my opinion could have been influenced by the language. I didn't understand very well, and it was a shame! I did understand quite well Ben and some of the other characters, but Colin Firth was impossible to hear! And he's english, so he's supposed to have a perfect accents! I don't know if course it's only about me, my fault, but I found really difficult to understand him (and he's one of the most importante character in the movie!).
I'm trying to be objective
The movie is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the book, seriously there wasn't even one scene similiar to the novel. No one! Of course there were some but not in the same context. I would appreciate some similiar scene. But that's the problem of the movies based on novels.
And even the quotes (and I'm a little obsessed about DG's quotes), I only heard "The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it", but in this case, probably, I didn't understand the language, even if I know very well the english quotes.
I didn't like this change, well I knew that the movie was going to be too different, and in some parts of it I did liked it, but not this matter about the context and the quotes. Even Sibyl and Dorian's love story was quite different! But there's something more, and this is a huge spoiler, so don't look at these lines and go over. I'd advice you when you can start reading again.
Ok you can start reading again.
Let's talk about sex! Yes I said sex! XD
In the book this word is never even mentioned, but in the movie...ehm emh, there're a lot of sex scenes, with Ben of course! I didn't like some of theme since he had sex with two older ladyies (not together!) so it was quite disgusting thinking about Ben with an old lady! But the other....Ben was so hot! And naked! But not too much! Just in the first scene with Sibyl.
So the sex-thing was good!! I think all of you will think the same! XD
Mmmm other things? The film could be quite good if you forget completely the book. I mean after the movie I didn't have the feeling "oh my god it was amazing!" I really needed to think about it hard, and now I honestly don't know If I liked it or not. Maybe half and half, I mean If I think about the differences between the movie and the book, ok maybe I don't like it. But if I only think about the movie itself, yes it was nice!
I'd like to write more, but I'm really tired right now.
And I'd like to discuss with you, so please tell me everything, even if you haven't seen the movie! And if you did I'd like to know your opinion!
And now a little picspam! I'm sorry it's too big!

- Ok, I didn't like the love affairs (if we can call like this XD) between Dorian and Basil. That's not fair!! There wasn't sex (so you can guess what I'm talking about) but I hated that scene. That's the big mistake. In the book, Basil admires Dorian, he's the source of all his inspiration. Basil loves him, LOVES HIM, not that he wants his body, it's just love and ammiration, and he told Dorian, before being murdered. In the movie (in that scene) Basil seems like a whore! I didn't like it!
